Business Description

The Austin Spurs are the NBA G League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs and play their home games at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The team was established in Columbus, Georgia, as the Columbus Riverdragons and joined the NBA D-League (now the NBA G League) on May 4, 2005 as the Austin Toros when the Riverdragons were relocated from Georgia to Texas. Spurs Sports & Entertainment purchased the team on June 28, 2007, making the Austin Toros the second D-League team to be owned by an NBA team. The team name was changed to the Austin Spurs on Oct. 15, 2014. The Austin Spurs have won two championships (2018, 2012) and advanced to the playoffs nine times. Austin has had 48 NBA call-ups in team history.
