~ All Janitorial duties for City Buildings ~



Performs entry-level work and is responsible for all janitorial duties for City buildings at various locations, and for maintaining the cleanliness of sidewalks surrounding the buildings. Generally, this position uses routine skills and works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

2 Shifts:
3 am - 11:30 am and 7am - 3:30 pm
Essential Duties & Required Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities
Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors; vacuum and clean carpets.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, to include cleaning mirrors, glass doors, windows, blinds, door handles, light fixtures, and dust furniture and baseboards.
Empty and clean waste receptacles, clean and dust office surfaces, vacuum offices, spot-clean walls, and properly set up and clean rooms for City activities.
Sweep or blow off debris and standing water from sidewalks around the buildings.
Sprinkle deicing agents on sidewalks as a safety precaution during inclement weather.
Replenish all paper supplies and soap dispensers.
Set-up and take-down tables, chairs, and other room furnishings when requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of six months of experience or training in janitorial maintenance.
Working schedule outside of the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours.
Required Certificate and Licenses
Valid Texas driver''s license or its equivalent from any U.S. State. (Occasionally needs to drive between city facilities.)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of one year of related experience in janitorial maintenance.
